Jag Dhanda is a UK trained Consultant Maxillofacial / Head & Neck Surgeon and Clinical Reader with a specialisation in head and neck cancer and dental implants. As the program director for the MSc program in Implant Dentistry at the University of Brighton Medical School, he is the only surgeon in the United Kingdom to have received research fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in the fields of college, specialty, and faculty.
In 2002, Jag commenced his dental implant training. During his advanced surgical training, he was exposed to further surgical aspects of implant dentistry. This training includes the placement of implants in the entire facial skeleton as well as dental implants and the placement of implants in facial deformity, traumatic facial injury and cancer reconstruction. He is able to offer both single tooth, multiple teeth and bridges, complete arch restoration, and implant-retained dentures, among other surgical and restorative procedures. Additionally, he is also able to provide all bone grafting treatments, such as zygomatic implants, sinus lifts, and bone regeneration. He is among the UK’s most highly trained dental implant surgeons, having completed 23 years of training.
He conducts several courses for advanced surgical trainees in cosmetic surgery and maxillofacial/head-neck surgery, including virtual surgical planning, cadaveric perforator dissection, and advanced microvascular surgery.
